Who is in the wrong?

So my university every year puts on a concert featuring some pretty great artists. This year we had this Australian DJ (Allison Wonderland), a rapper (Joey Bada$$) and a pop group (DNCE). Anyway it's usually held in the stadium but this year they wanted a more open vibe so they put it in the parking lot closest to the center of campus. Well this pissed off a few women who live in the communities adjacent to campus. As one woman in particular said the noise bothered them (even though the concert was at 1-5PM rather than it's usual 6-10PM) and that the profanity was disgusting and tramuatized her 7 year old son. Honestly I don't think my university did anything wrong. They simply hosted a concert for their students who get a great concert for around 20$. But I'm curious to see what everyone else thinks especially older people with homes.
