Are you for or against allowing those with mental illness to own guns?
1. I didn't know that a group of the victim's parents had went to congress and tried to pass a bill requiring background checks for those with guns.
2. The mentally ill man who committed the crime had access to a gun & magazine size that no civilian needed access to.
As someone from the south, I get that gun control scares a lot of people. I don't personally own or shoots guns. But what's the harm in having background checks? Or the harm in not allowing those with mental illness to have guns? (I guess I could include specific illnesses, but I generally mean those that could escalate to allow for suicide and homicide.)
