HPV?? HELP

About 3 or 4 years ago my current boyfriend was dating a girl who had HPV. He found out because he got an STD that is common with it and he confronted her and she said yes she had HPV. We have been dating for almost 3 months and he is my first and only sexual partner. Do I need to worry about having HPV because he had it years ago? I've done some research but just can't seem to find the answers. He has told me he had an STD before but it was cleared up then I just found out about the HPV last night.

He has had multiple partners since the event and has been tested multiple times for all STDS and everything has been clean and none of his former partners have told him they have anything.

Hpv does not go away. My mother has it. You can contract it from up to 13 years. There is no way to tell exactly who you get it from unless you test the types together. You can get the hpv shots. They hurt like hell (at least to me they did) the only thing is it doesn't completely protect you, since there are different strands of the std the shot can only help try to keep most of them from affecting you. Just use protection and get checked regularly and talk to your obgyn or primary about it. I'm only saying what my primary told me about it.

Use always condom but something those broke to ,better ask him to get checked or go with him at doctor, hpv can be pretty serious my mom had for years and late in life she developed cancer
