is anyone else terrified of labour?

Sorry if I sound silly but I'm a first time mum and I'm so scared incase something goes wrong etc I'm a nervous wreck 😪

Yeah it's scary thinking about it. Actually going through it isn't as scary because you're in the moment. It helps to think that's tons of women go through the same thing every day and it's usually fine.

I feel exactly the same... as soon as I found out I was pregnant I was so scared of the birth and the experience. I am dreading it, the first thing I asked my doctor was can I have a c section. It all just really worries me it's all I can think about

Soooo with my first I was totally freaking out. I went past my due date and was schedule for an induction and 24 hrs before my set time I went into labor myself. I never read about labor and I didn't have this app either so the only ideas of birth I had was what tv shows and movies show you. I had honestly not wanted to know what was going to happen. Because it felt less scary to me. I labored and went to the  hospital and just followed what the nurses and my doctor said and I had such an easy birth and I wouldn't have changed anything. I just kept reminding myself that literally bodies are made for this, docotors are here and if I keep breathing I'll get to meet my baby.

It's hard not going to lie but if it was truly horrifying no women would ever chose to go through it multiple times. lol I had a unmediated birth and swore I would never have a baby again...I was pregnant 6 months later. I know it's gonna suck but it's all worth it in the end!

Don't be! I had this whole horrible scenario In my head that it was going to be the worst pain ever. Well it jus felt like horrible period cramps that took my breath away. Yea it hurt, but it wasn't like I expected. I was shocked right after they put the needle in and gave me the epidural, I was an 8!! I felt like I could have just done without. I had already made it that far and when I needed to push, I couldn't figure out how because of the epidural. So hey had to turn it off and I sat there in stirrups until it wore off enough to gain enough control to push. So I pretty much felt everything besides transition. It really wasn't that bad!

Lol. I had my 3rd 5 months ago and I was still terrified! 😂😂 I don't think that feeling ever goes away.
