Is it bad taste to throw your own baby shower?

Ok so this is my third and final baby. My youngest will be 13 when the baby is born so it's been a while since I've gone through this. It feels like the first all over again. I want it to be special and I have become picky in my older age now, so I decided to be assertive and pick the place for the shower. My partner and I will pay for the venue and everything. So do you think that it is bad taste to grow your own shower? I mean you do it for a wedding, why not a baby? Just curious before I look over baring lol
