Should I or not?...

I want to text this guy I had been talking since March. Way before March even (long story). We went on couples dates and he eventually wants to be friends. He "likes"me and finds me attractive but he doesn't want to lead me on, plus he is a party animal and me not so much. After he revealed that to me, we kept talking about shows to watch, etc etc. Like friends. I send him a text almost a month ago around 9am...he responded back to me around 6pm. I never messaged him again. But oddly enough I want to message him today. Because I miss OUR conversations. He made me laugh, he would ask questions about my day or weekend etc. And I would ask about his. I miss talking to him. Should I or not? Since it been a long time.
