crush??

So there's this guy and I've known him since I was in 10th grade he was in 12th. I liked him then but we never dated. We've been talking a lot now and he told me he has a "crush" On someone but won't tell me to. I don't really know if I like him like that because I don't want to ruin a friendship but he just makes me so happy and I'm confused. Help!
