We been nursing to sleep since he was born.. now most nights he'll nurse one side for like 2 minutes & just sit up & look at me.. so I'll switch sides and he'll do the same thing either sit up crawl on me bounce or clap his hands.. I'll lay him in his crib & leave the room, he always cries but he's out within 5 minutes or less every time.   Do you think he's weaning himself? (He's now switched to cows milk through the day but still gets the boob before bed and early in the morning)
