when should I sell the ring ? 💍

Been separated for almost a year, in August it would have been a year!

I gave into temptation and spoke to my abusive husband ( whom I'm divorcing ) a few times but for weeks now I've not talked to him and don't miss him. Very rarely do I get upset with how it worked out and that's only when I get stressed with my baby cause I think " why do I have to deal wiry parenting all by myself ?!? Why did my husband have to become this monster and not be normal and be a good dad like I wanted ?!"

So I don't get child support, or anything from my husband and haven't for months so I'm thinking I need money I can't afford to live the way that I am my money is running out quickly and it's scaring me so when should I sell the wedding ring ?

And do you think I should get it valued first and sell it to the shop or just sell it through a fb sales page?
( he's still paying it off but that doesn't matter as it's mine now and he treated me like shit so)

Definitely get it appraised so you have a starting point. You can sell it whenever you want. Why isn't he paying child support?

Is it really yours to sell? I appreciate he may have treat you like shit but what are you going to do if he asks for the ring back and you have already sold it? In the eyes of the law (at least here in the UK), it's his and you would likely have to pay him back.

I would definitely get the ring appraised before you try selling it. Just so you know how much you should be getting. And I'm not sure how it works with you both being in separate countries, but I would look into getting child-support for your baby.

First, Get the ring appraised and sell if you can get a decent price for it.

Second, In the meantime, go back to court and tell them you'd like to have his child support collected and monitored by the state, in some states it isn't automatic. The monitoring will allow his wages to be garnished and sent to you, and they will enforce payment so you don't have to keep going back to court.

Third, you mentioned you can't afford to keep living the way you have, and your money is running out quickly. If you have a family member or friend who is in finance or accounting, ask to sit down with them and help you set up a manageable budget, and cut back wherever possible. Yes, this means most likely a lot of personal sacrifice, but in the long run it will be worth it. Try to get yourself to the point financially where you have your head above water WITHOUT the child support, so that you aren't dependent on it and drowning.

I would get it appraised and try and sell on your own. Pawning it they only pay for the metal not the diamonds or what ever stone you may have.

Get it appraised and sell it on eBay!! It may take longer but it will be worth it. My hubby and I were in a tight spot once and I decided I would sell my ring to try to help us out and we took it to a few different pawn shops and jewelry stores. My ring was almost $3,000 and the highest offer I got was $400 and I said hell no! One place said $200 🙄

I would say get it valued, and get an offer from a few jewelry stores, then go to FB and list it for an amount that's maybe between the value and the store offer. Because you know a store won't give you the amount it's worth so they can sell it for a profit.
