Strep b during pregnancy!?

I just received a call that I tested pos for strep b. I'm 19 weeks today and I am freaking out because I googled it and read that it can cause miscarriage , or stillbirth! Has anyone else went through this?

You can take probiotics to help but they'll test again in late pregnancy and if it's positive they give you antibiotics during labor. It's only dangerous if untreated. Most people I know had it. It's pretty common. I had it and everything was fine.

They will give you antibiotics so that nothing happens to you or your baby. I had it with my first pregnancy and she is now 18 months. So no need to worry, that's why they test for these things!

I had it with my oldest. She's a healthy 5yo. They didn't give me anything for it when I tested positive. Just antibiotics during labor so as to keep baby safe.

A quarter of pregnant women test positive in late pregnancy. It's a common bacteria to be found in the vagina and anus.
Did they find it in a pelvic exam smear or a urinalysis? Makes a difference on the treatment. If you are given an antibiotic please take a Probiotic with it to avoid getting a yeast infection
