Can You Overdo It?

Question

I've seen a lot of prom posts. Which is fine, everybody looks beautiful. But do you believe that there are dresses that just overdo it? Should there be a stopping point when it comes to prom dresses?

I think people should try to keep it classy but it's up to them at the end of the day. I do think some do go over the top, especially with 'promposals'. Like that guy who tied balloons to the dead animals 😳 it was just disgusting 🙈.

Eh. I like sleek well tapered dresses so to me overdoing it is going for a fluffy big dress with lots of embellishment.

But everyone has a limit. Not all are the same. To some my taste in prom dress is "bland". Granted I still thought I looked the best out of some of the gaudy things we saw. I liked having gold accents pieces and tapered silhouette. 
Bright yellow and orange multi layer lace and gauze is just TOO MUCH to me. But alas if she likes it it's her business.

I kind of over did it... my group left prom early and went to the magic kingdom! It was an unforgettable night and we had the best time!

I just think it's kind of ridiculous when a bunch of teenagers act like prom is the equivalent of getting married or something 🤷‍♂️ it's their choice, so whatever suits them, I just personally think it's pretty cringe worthy and, actually kind of immature. But oh well.

Haha this just reminds me of when my sister went to prom, she wore a wedding dress. That thing was so poofy it took 3 of us to stuff her in the limo. 😂 That was a little much in my opinion but she loved it.

No. Because people can do what they want for prom and there's no reason to care about what another person does that won't affect you.

I think the whole "promposal" is really stupid. why does your SO need to go out of their way to make/do something big for a school dance? 
However, I did go all out with my dress and hair for prom. Sure it was expensive but it was worth it to me.
