Full term???

Question

When are you considered "full term" in your pregnancy is it 37 weeks or 39 weeks? And does anyone know what happens in the last 3 weeks of pregnancy with the baby's growth (are the lungs developed, is it safe for baby to arrive etc)

It was considered 37 weeks but some sometimes it's 39 now. I was born 4 weeks early, 8 pounds, and completely healthy. Someone I know just had a baby at 34 weeks, 7 pounds, and completely healthy so they got to leave the hospital as normal and everything was normal. But I also a baby that was born at 38 weeks and had breathing problems.
