Is this safe?

I was looking at a dock a tot but it's so expensive. This will only be used to get Baby to sleep beside me in bed till I can transition her to her crib after she falls asleep. She likes to stay up from 3-7 AM and I can't hold her the whole time, but if I lay her in her crib when she's awake, she cries. If I lay her in bed beside me and just let her lay next to me, she's okay. Baby is 2 weeks old, btw.
