10 week genetic screen question?

I'm scheduled for the works tomorrow. OB visit, ultrasound and 10 week blood work. I saw another post that said the 10 week genetic screen doesn't work on twins. Is that true? If that's the case I won't get the test tomorrow and save my money. What is your experience?

I'm pregnant with identical twin boys and my office offers 4 different screenings/tests and I was told because twins, the only one that was reliable was the ultrasound. I asked if identical made a difference and he called the specialist and they said it's still not reliable so we opted out.

Same as previous poster. Tested at 10w2d 
Y chromosome present. fraternal twins. negative downs and other main genetic disorders tested.

I had the Harmony testing done for downs syndrome and to have the genders , came back all negative for downs , but the could only confirm one of the sexes as im having fraternals . If you just want it for the gender save your money and wait for the ultrasound ! Baby boy confirmed tho ! We think the other one is a girl ! 💏

My doctor said the best time was 11w to 11w6d. But yeah 10 weeks is starting point

I went ahead and had the blood work for the genetic testing. I'm considered an older mother and at greater risk for genetic defects. I won't take the gender info to heart and wait for the ultrasound to confirm.

The blood work test for a few different things, I think there is like one thing the test, tests for that will come back inconclusive, but everything else will check out normally.

Im having identical twins so for me it was 100% accurate. I woukd assume if your having faternal it would be a waste of money.

From what I understand the blood work is difficult to interpret when it's a twin pregnancy. My Dr said it could be done, but it is tricky.

We heard the same thing from our Dr. The ultrasound was thorough enough & our dr gave us a good feeling that there was nothing that concerned her, so we opted out of the blood work anyways.
