paid vacation for home daycare providers?
Hello ladies,
Just wondering if it's normal to have to pay home daycare providers for their vacation? I have read a few contracts where they get 2 weeks vac and major holidays paid, and clients are also expected to pay when they take their own family vacations (i.e. If I take a week off and can stay home and watch my kid, I still have to pay the provider for that week).
I understand most people get paid vacations and don't have a problem with it, I am just wondering if this is standard for home care providers or if it is out of the norm. Obviously if it's not typical, I don't want to pay for it. I live in the Boston area, where care is pretty expensive and also in very very high demand, especially for infants.
