Can it be twins with normal hcg levels?

Question

My HCG levels are pretty much exactly doubling. They should be around 4000 today and I'm 5 or 6 weeks. Does this mean I'm probably not having twins since it's not jumping higher? I used clomid and my husband's side has a bunch of twins and I just have a gut feeling I'm gonna have two boys. But since my HCG levels are super normal does that mean I'm probably not?

Twins have nothing to do with the father having a family history.

Going off of your hcg levels isnt very reliable because different women have normal levels and have twins while others have higher levels and have twins.......another thing, the woman is the one who determines if its twins or not by releasing two eggs (fraternal twins), and identical twins are just luck after the sperm fertilizes the one egg then in the first 2-6 days if the eggs splits making two identical babies......either way man doesn't have any play in twins.

HCG levels - high or normal, don't indicate if you're having twins or not. Only an ultrasound will tell
