miscarriage or what?

So on Sunday I had a rush of red blood with bad cramps. So I went to the er and they said I miscarriaged (they did a blood test and checked my cervix and it was still closed)I couldn't believe it. So on Monday the bleeding was lighter but still bright red  I went to get a second opinion they did a blood test and both types of u/s's. They told me I did not miscarry that i having what they called a threatened miscarriage. On Tuesday the i was having pink spotting and brown discharge. Wednesday I only had brown discharge.. and today I have had nothing. So now I'm super confused and my OB won't see me until the 22 of may ..
