hair dye??

I just found out I'm pregnant. Not very far along. I wanna dye my hair back it's natural color and not worry about it for awhil. Is it safe? Should I wait?

It's totally fine. Just listen to your body and take a moment to get fresh air if the smell happens to be too much for you!

Talk to your doctor about this one, but as a hairstylist I would recommend either asking for a semi-permenant color to get you through the first trimester and then once you're in the 2nd trimester you should be fine to do whatever you'd like with your hair. Paul Mitchell and Aveda color are two of the most natural options. If you can endure not getting your hair colored at all during the first 12 weeks, then I would say definitely do that.

Dying your hair during pregnancy is safe. I asked my doc and he said it was fine. As did all of the literature he gave me.

Make sure the area is ventilated (don't lock yourself in a bathroom with no fan or window for an hour) and personally I get warm and sweaty when my hair is processing (think it's he smock and the foils at the salon) so I make sure I have water near by.
