Do you always change baby's diaper at night?

I'm breastfeeding and my two months old still wakes up to feed every 2-3 hours and most of the time he'll go right back to sleep when he's finished and then I let him sleep. My SO thinks I'm  AWFUL for not changing his diaper and think I should wake him up every time and change. Am I selfish for not doing it to get some sleep? 🙁

If it's just pee you're fine. What I do is lather him up with a ton of A&D on his final diaper change of the night and then I won't change him until the morning. The A&D acts as a barrier between his skin and the pee. My kiddo is almost 6 months and has had zero diaper rashes so I know my technique works. 
However, if he poops at night then I change him.

We change the diaper at night due to the little guy peeing so much he'll leak if we don't.

If it's poopy I would but just pee then no, diapers these days are so absorbent it shouldn't feel wet to them.

HELLLL no. What happens when your child is fully sleeping through the night? Are you going to wake him or her up to change their diaper? I don't think so.

I chose yes, I always change her diaper. But no, you're not selfish. Some babies don't even soak their diaper enough to need changing every feeding at night

My LO sleeps from 8-3 and we change her when she wakes up at 3. But when it was every three hours we wouldn't. I'd wait till the second time I got up if it felt wet. Poop? Yes I'd change but my LO doesn't poop at night.

Heck no, you don't need to change his diaper unless he's completely soaked or poopy. Baby needs his sleep as much as you do! Why wake him up for no reason? Agree with others that if SO is so concerned about it, let HIM do the diaper changes every 2-3 hours while you go back to sleep. (And he's responsible for the baby if he wakes up and screams for an hour!) I guarantee that won't last more than a night.

I don't change his diaper at night either. Diapers are good for 12 hours. If it upsets your SO so bad then he can change the diaper! Smh.

My son soaked his diapers, and they leaked all the time too. So I felt like I had to. I was also,changing sheets every 3 hours at night😥 if you're really worried, change baby before feeds so he can just go right to sleep after he eats. But do you have to change every single wet diaper? No, not really.

Tell your husband that he needs to stop making you feel awful about not changing the baby's diaper at every feeding. If it's pee, you don't need to; if it's poop, then change it. Diapers are highly absorbent these days and work really well at keeping the baby dry up to 12 hours. When my little girl was only a few months old and I was breastfeeding her every 2-3 hours, I only changed her after 8-12 hours if it was only pee. If it was really wet, during any time in between, I'd change her. I would slather her up in diaper rash cream/A&D ointment at her bedtime diaper change. It worked out really well and she never had a diaper rash. Ever. Now that she's a year old and on solid foods, she's only had a diaper rash a couple of times, but that was due to something she ate.
