Skipped period? Late? Or pregnant!?

Is it normal to skip a period, or be this late? I'm on day 35 of my current cycle. I've never been this late! I average at 28 days. I took a pregnant test 2 days ago and saw nothing. I'm not sure what to think or do.

I've had random cycles be 28 days and another almost 40 days.  Could just be that odd one out...but maybe take a test end of this week if your period is still a no-show.
