31 weeks. bump feeling low and rock hard...

Just wondering if anyone else feels really low for 31 weeks? My belly feels low and at some points of the day it feels rock hard. It is so solid.. some people have also commented that I look very small for only having 9weeks to go.. but baby was 3.16lb on 29 week scan. It has always been this low and this is a first baby.
