Afraid to announce my pregnancy?

I found out I was pregnant and of course my husband knows and some of our family & close friends. I want to post to social media soon but I know some people won't be happy about it (complicated situations). The majority of these people thought I got married too young (20yrs old) and now we have only been married 7 months and expecting our first child. 
   I wish I could be flamboyant and post it but I am really worried what these people think! Isn't that awful? 😭 don't get me wrong - I am absolutely excited for our babe...

I got married at 19(husband was 20) we started trying to have a baby 6 months into marriage and concieved the following month! You are married and starting a family is an exciting time and if people don't want to be supportive then why are you friends with them in the first place?! It's better to be alone than with bad company!

You've just gotta learn to not care what other people say or think. If you're happy that's all that matters. I also got married young (18) and we got pregnant about a year after that. I've heard it all from all different people but the best thing I ever did was learn to just shrug it off and move on. I'm happy with my choices and that's all I care about anymore

I was scared too. We have 4 kids between us. My husbands 16 yo son is severely autistic and his mom & aunt help out a lot already. Plus we've only been married a year, after dating 3 months before that.

I thought they would be mad. I know my family had rude things to say about our decision to marry so fast.

Share your joy. You'll find out who your true friends and loved ones are. Enjoy the positive ones and either block the others or ask them to say something nice or nothing at all.

I just got married last October, at 21 years old. Lots of our family and friends were unsure of our marriage and thought we were too young and we ended up surprise-conceiving while on our honeymoon a week and a half after the wedding. I felt the exact same as you--that people were going to judge. Still sometimes feel as if people are! But we ended up announcing around 8 weeks pregnant and we got a lot of surprising positive and encouraging comments! Of course, you gotta expect that a lot of people would be like "oh already?!" "Well you move fast" "You should have waited," etc. Literally brush these assholes off. You are happy and excited and that's what counts, fuck everyone else's opinions. Surround yourself with positivity and do what you want to do!

I got married at 21 and got pregnant a month later. I know people prob had their opinions but I got no negative comments. If you do just block them, you don't need people like that in your life

If it makes you feel any better I got married at 17 and I'm 18 now and we've been married for 6 months and I've skipped my period. My parent are happy we are trying for a kid now but I know others I know won't! They lashed my parents for signing me off!

Who cares what they think. There are always going to be some people that don't know how to be happy for others and that is their bad. You can't please everyone in this world. What matters is the people that you love are happy and they support you. I am sure there are plenty of others that will be happy for you!
