Sharing 1 bedroom apt with baby and bf

Hey! So my bf and I share a 1 bedroom apartment. Since learning of our pregnancy 2 months ago, I reallyyyyy want a nursery so we've started looking at 2 bedroom apartments. Our budget is about 2200-2600 a month but we'd save sooooo much money staying where we are and perhaps moving into something larger once baby turns 12 months. Our moms and mama friends say that baby will primarily sleep in our room the first year anyway and we should just stay, save and move later.
