Labor symptoms?

Background: FTM, high risk, 33 weeks +1 day with di/di twins. Uterus measuring at 39 weeks and babies are both measuring at 34 weeks.

Symptoms: for the last 4 days my BH have become much more frequent and intense, specifically at night and accompanied by intense lower back pain and period-like cramping. Activity of Baby A has only increased and I feel her in my vagina/ rectum. The pelvic pressure has become really intense and my belly has really dropped.

Experienced Mommas, do these sound like signs of labor or just typical third trimester symptoms?

Note: looking for similar experiences/ advice- I'm seeing my OB tomorrow.

You should time your contractions. If you are in active labor they should be closer together and consistent. Some people go in labor with no contractions. Keep paying attention to your body and if you are worried you should just call your doc or go in. The worst that could happen is they'll send you back home and rule it as false (preterm) labor.

I am a ftm but i have been feeling the same way for weeks now! I'm currently 29weeks+1 but have had an irritable uterus since 20 weeks! So I get contractions all the time!  They used to be painless but the last 2 weeks I've felt throbbing in my back with them as well as slight period cramps.  At 27 weeks when they started my dr sent me to L&D to be monitored everything was good besides I tested positive for fibronectin (FFN) a protein that women secrete when about to go into labor, they told me they get a lot of false positives but as a precaution gave me steroid shots for babies!  My OB said that these contractions with back pain and slight cramps are my new baseline, and it's just my body preparing for the big day! She said I would know the difference when I felt true labor contractions, she said if I can talk/breath/walk through them then they are either Braxton hicks or irritable uterus, and either way just sit down relax and start drinking water like it's my job! If your concerned go in, it's better to be safe and get peace of mind if anything! FYI I have been to L&D 4 times since 20weeks!
