mother in law not coming to shower

I just need to rant to someone. I know I had a shocked look on my face when they told me but I couldn't muster up to tell them how hurt I am or how wrong they are. I haven't got to tell my husband yet and I'm going to make sure he lets her know how absolutely insane they are acting. 

Update: my husband told her how hurt we both were that she wasn't coming and that she owed me an apology. She sent me some sappy text message that they had this baseball game planned since February and it's so important to my sister in law. She also said that to make it up to me she would throw another shower. I sent her back a message explaining how I truly felt and that we are permanent members of this family and this is a once an a life time event where they had been to plenty of his baseball games this year. I told her there was no need for another shower because all our family and closest friends were already invite to this one. Then she has the nerve to make up so crazy lie about having to go to a doctors appointment that day because of a serious condition that she didn't want to tell us about and that we should be ashamed of ourselves. She knew she was wrong and had to make up some better excuse then a baseball game! ---just so you all know my sister in law put up pictures of them at the baseball game--who makes up a crazy lie--a serious lie about having to go to the doctor! 🤦🏼‍♀️ my husband told her she is so close to not coming to the hospital to see her grand daughter and that she better grow up. I'm not petty like that...I'll just rise above her.
