Getting my first tattoo! Advice?

Hey ladies! On the first of next month I am going to get my first tattoo. I'm getting a wildflower bouquet of my brothers birth month flowers. He passed away last June and I've been wanting to get this done for awhile. I'm getting it on my inner bicep and was wondering for those of you who have tattoos, especially inner bicep tattoos, what your experience was like? Since it's my first I really have no idea what to expect 😅 I appreciate any advice and words of comfort lol!

I have a sentence (5 words) on my bicep. I have 5 other tattoos and although it's pretty small, I didn't mind it at all. up by the armpit is weird because I felt it in my shoulder! but I would totally get more work done in that spot. (to compare I have ribs, lower back, between my shoulders and outer thigh)

Mine was way less painful than I expected. Have fun! Take pictures! Bring a friend. It's a fun and exciting event, treat it like an outing or a date. It does take a while though so make sure you and your friend have something to do or get ready to be friendly with your artist lol.

It's definitely a sensitive area of the body. With tattoos at least in my opinion it's mind over matter. Of course it will hurt there's no doubt about that but keep yourself distracted. I always go with a friend so that the conversation is a source of distraction from the pain. The best thing I can compare it to is a continuous cat scratch on a sunburn.

So painful 😖 I was glad the tattoo I wanted was so small cuz it hurt a lot worse than I expected. 9/10 while it's getting done. Healing was easy

Relax; bring something sugary (sugar water, a chocolate bar) to keep your blood sugar up. It may hurt, but it'll be worth it. Also ask your artist about any questions and concerns you have WHILE there

It doesn't hurt so terribly bad as long as you relax. Make sure your tattoo artist has a few things in common with you so you can chat while it's being done. My friend got an inner bicep tattoo and she said it wasn't a big deal. When it gets behind your armpit it hurts a little but it's all worth it.
