could we be infertile ??

Question

My boyfriend and I have been together for over 4 years. We are not trying to have a baby but the only form of birth control we use (if you can call it that) is the pull out method. I'm just wondering if there could b possibly a problem with one of us ? I had got pregnant 10 years ago and had to abort it (I was only 16) -please don't judge-  
So I know I can get pregnant but I scares me the thought that I might have an issue ... Because we want to ttc in a year or so

Just because you use pull out method doesn't mean you will get pregnant it's just a possibility if not done correctly and more of a risk than other pregnancy prevention methods. My husband and I used pull out method for 9-10 years and never got pregnant then when we ttc we got pregnant within a few months with our first and I'm now pregnant with #2. However,  we also wouldn't have minded a baby had I gotten pregnant so the method worked for us for all those years. Also with ttc, timing is everything and if you're not tracking your cycle and monitoring ovulation it's easy to miss the small fertile window each month so the likelihood that when using the pull out method you have a mishap and it is also your most fertile time is low, not impossible, but not extremely likely. I don't think you have to worry at all about your fertility based on that method alone.

We only did pull out and the first time we didn't and tried to have a baby I got pregnant. Maybe he's just really good at pulling out. I wouldn't worry about it till you actually start trying

My husband and I just pulled about for close to 1.5 years until we stared to try for a baby. We got pregnant on our first cycle trying. I would say it's not necessarily an issue, and his pull out game is strong.

We used that for years and didn't get pregnant. Them we stopped preventing and it took 2 years but we got pregnant without truly trying so no it doesn't mean either of you are infertile.

It worked for my husband and I for 1yr 8m until we tried to get pregnant. We also had "accidents" in there still no babies

Not really. My exbf and I have done the pull out method for 6 years and have not once conceived. As previous response, you won't know until you ttc.
