Some ideas
I see everyone asking what to pack in their hospital bags, this is my 3rd pregnancy and will be my 3rd c section. So here's what I'm packing:
Adult diapers- less mess to worry about, the pads suck!
Gas-X because after they cut you open and seal you up, you're full of gas and it's painful.
Very loose fitting night gown or summer maxi dress. I'll still be able to breast feed with this on.
Panties about a size bigger than I'm wearing, so that they aren't snug on my incision.
Phone charger
Digital camera
Travel size shampoo and conditioner
Wash cloth and towel- ones at hospital suck
Soap
Sports bra and nursing pads
Very loose t shirt and sweat pants to wear home.
I'm not bringing extra pillow or blanket, too much stuff to have to pack and bring.
Glasses and contact lens as well as solution and case.
Tooth brush and tooth paste
Snacks
Deodorant
For baby, the hospital will provide most everything you need. But I'm bringing:
2 pairs of socks for each
2 onesies for each, bring newborn and 0-3mo because you never know what size they will need.
A pacifier for each, to match the nipple style of the bottles I plan on using.
A light blanket/swaddle blanket for each.
If you're having a section, prior to your surgery please request a belly binder so they can provide you with one. It will be a life saver!
Don't be afraid to ask for stool softener or suppository to help you use the restroom. Also have some stool softeners at home! I bought some enemas, but will also purchase some stool softeners.
If I think of anything else, I'll update.
