Don't know what to do...
Hey guys! I have nobody to talk to irl about this situation, because everyone at school is extremely fake & shit will get around haha. BUT ANYWAYS, at my school, I'm on the cross country team. I have a lot of good friends that I run with, and one of those friends names is Emily*. Emily* and I are pretty good friends, and I'm also good friends with her boyfriend. we all hangout sometimes and it's all good. so that's Emily*. well there's this guy, his name is Michael*. I always see Michael* at school, and i feel like anywhere I go i end up seeing him! this has been going on for like a month or so, and even when I'm in the cafeteria eating, I'll randomly look around and see Michael*. its super weird haha. but recently, I went to our local grocery store. and what do you know, I see Michael* working there. I get super just done with seeing him everywhere and not knowing him, so I DM him on Instagram. we start talking and I find out he's super sweet and nice & humerous (he claimed I was following him 😁) so we end up talking for a couple days before he asks me if I want to hangout. I say sure, and we make plans to go to the park later on and eno. well, he's about two years older than me, so I end up asking my friends who are in his class what he's like. they all say he's super sweet and kind and I should be okay going to hangout with him. except for EMILY*! I knew that her and Michael* talked before, but I didn't know it was serious. ((Brandon is Emily*'s current boyfriend & all the marked out spots are Michael*'s name. NOT THE PERSON IM TALKING TO THOUGH, that's Emily*))
so Michael* and I ended up hanging out & we had a great time. we drove around for awhile and he was just super sweet to me and everything. during our little adventure, I asked him what the worse thing he's ever done was. he said that cheating on his girlfriend was the worse thing he's ever done & that he feels terrible about it to this day, and not a day goes by where he doesn't think about it. and he wishes he would've changed things and not have done that because he really did love her. he told me that if I'm ever going to cheat on someone, save the heartbreak and break up with them first, because nobody deserves to go through that.
so what do I do? do I continue talking to Michael*? or do I stop because my friend once dated him? & don't suggest Emily* and Brandon break up, because they're happily together rn & they wouldn't break up. but I just don't know what to doooo so please help. 😬♥️
UPDATE: thank you all for the replies. I honestly thought I'd get nothing hahah! but thanks sm, & im taking all of yalls advice & not caring about what she says. you guys are right, she has a new boyfriend now & should move on. THANK YALL SO SO MUCH!!!!!! ♥️♥️♥️
