Yes that's how it is most of the time because during the day your movements rock the baby to sleep.

Yes. I've had two babies who moved during the day but never moved at night and then I've had two babies who never moved during the day and always moved at night. 
Unborn babies sleep a lot so if they're not moving chances are they're sleeping or their in a position where you can't feel it yet.
