about how long does each breastfeeding session last for your 8 month olds?

Just curious how long each session is and how many sessions per day now that solids have started.  I know solids aren't supposed to replace breastmilk

I still don't have a regular solid regimen, he BF on demand every 2-3 hours if we're home. And he'll nurse for 2 mins or 10 depends on how hungry he is or if he's just thirsty.

If referring to actual feeding then about 5 minutes every 3 hours or so. Comfort suckling / nursing to sleep is another story.

Varies. My little one gets distracted really easy. And she is really nosy. One sound and she would latch off! So it depends. Some feedings are 5 minutes some are 15-20 minutes.

10-16 minute sessions, 4x per day. Plus 3 oz milk in her morning cereal. She is getting more at feedings, but I definitely think her solids have replaced some of her milk.

My little one is only managing 1 or 2 solid meals a day. She's really not keen and prefers breast milk still. We still breast feed on demand.

My little girl is having 3 solid meals a day now. Born September 26th. Before weaning she averaged 60-75 minutes of milk a day feeding approx every 2 hours, we're down to about 4 feeds a day total of about 45-55 mins but because I have more time to recover she's actually getting a lot more milk in that time. She seems a lot happier  too :-)
