Switching from an OBGYN to a Midwife
I've been struggling with just being a number at my doctors office. Meeeting a new doctor each time and then not knowing anything about me. Also after realizing I really want an all natural birth and not wanting to feel pressured into any interventions I realized the hospital my practice was affiliated with wasn't for me. Tonight my husband and I met with a midwife group and I'm in love. They said everything I've been needing to hear and I will be able to have the water birth I've been dreaming of. My husband is allergic to whey protein (the dairy protein) and yes like if he has it he dies not gets the shits, so it's serious. And a question I kept asking the doctor group was about breastfeeding and the chance of the baby having the allergy as well. Every doctors said "I don't know guess you'll have to ask your pediatrician." Yet finally the midwife said I'm not sure but I'm going to look into it for you and I'll let you know next appointment. Just excited and needed to share with people who might understand.
