Insemination with multiple sperm donors?

I'm not sure that this is necessarily controversial.. But how do you guys feel about inseminating with multiple sperm donors? Maybe 2 or 3.. I mean you wouldn't know which donor's baby it is until it's born, but there is a higher chance of conception I would assume.. One donor is Asian. One is black. One is white. I am mixed race.. so it will not be hard to tell.. Of course all have been screened for STDs and such. Ive read online of women doing this before, Its just a thought.

I used to love watching those birthing shoes on tv. I saw this great one with a lesbian couple pregnant with twins. She was taking hormones to stimulate ovulation. She was scheduled with IUI with a donor. The night before her IUI at the Dr, she did a turkey basting procedure with a friend. One of the men was white, and one black. They were so excited to see who the father was. When she gave birth, one baby was black and the other white. It was amazing. She had fraternal twins so two eggs dropped and fertilized, one with the one mans sperm and the other with the other mans sperm. Super amazing. I cried. Twins with different fathers!

Frankly I wouldn't care. Use as many donors as you'd like. All the power to you

I don't think it matters. I mean what would the cons be?

I wouldn't for reasons of medical history and genetics. I would want to know 100% the biological father so I could refer to them for any medical questions.

I think it still could be difficult to tell. There are black couples that have white babies, or mixed that don't look it. In that case I'd be worried about not knowing and not having a definite family history. As a person trying to learn my own family history, I don't want my kids to wonder and not know. That's just personal though.

I am half black and half white.. im pretty sure id be able to tell if my baby was half asian, more black, or more white... lol.. DNA tests can always be performed as well.. So I see no cons..

It is definitely possible for you to get pregnant with triplets from all of the different fathers, it has happened before so be prepared for that...
