almond milk?

Is anyone planning to switch their baby to almond milk instead of cows milk at age one? (Obv this doesn't apply to those who plan to continue breastfeeding).

My 1st daughter stared out with cows milk but it keep causeinf her to have phlegm so we switched to almond milk and she's growing big and strong now 6 so I plan on talking to her docter when she turns one

I would make sure that's okay with your doctor. I have absolutely no idea if it is. My husband and I both drink different types of nut mills but I just read about two parents being out in jail because their baby was only given almond milk and didn't make it. I'm sure mixed with food and waiting until they are 1 years old it'll be fine but maybe they sell something more complete or enriched?

I'm considering it, after talking to my ped about it of . Nothing against cow's milk but my daughter gets a red rash around her mouth whenever we give her cheese so we just don't give it anymore out of fear of an allergy. She used to get it with yogurt too but she's fine with yogurt now, but obviously there is some kind of reaction going on so I'm really hesitant to give her any cow's milk until talking to her doc about it.

My doctor suggested soy milk because of the amount of protein it has that babies need. We don't plan on doing cows milk, and I hadn't planned on doing soy, but it seems there isn't a lot of nutrition in almond milk.

Yes but the concern is protein and fat. There is a protein fortified almond milk so definitely use that then make sure baby is getting healthy fats.
