When Did Your Baby Started Sleeping Through The Night?

My Baby Is Going On 7 Weeks & I Know Its Still Early For Him But I Wanted To Know,  When Your Baby Started Sleeping Through The Night? & How Did You Know That You Could Let Your Baby Sleep Through The Night, Like Does The Doc Tell You When You Can Start Letting Them Sleep through Out The Night? Or Did You Just Start Doing It?

My daughter slept through the night at two and a half years old.

My son slept through the night his first night home. He was jaundice though so we had to wake him up through the night to feed him. Once his jaundice was gone he started sleeping through the night again at 6 weeks old! If he's sick he wakes up through the night but that's not often, he's now 7 months old!

My baby started sleeping through the night by the time she was a week old. Obviously I'd wake her to feed her, but aside from a sleep regression that lasted 2 weeks (I wanted to die I was so tired 😪) she's pretty much always slept through the night.  She's 3 1/2 months now

My daughter started consistently at around 7 months old. At 9 months now it's most nights, but not always. She had jaundice in the beginning so we could only let her go a max of 4 hours between nursing overnight. After she regained her birth weight at 2 weeks her Dr told us to let her sleep - she slowly started to stretch out her sleep over the next several months. Slept through the night off and on for a few weeks, then hit the 4 month sleep regression and really struggled for a few weeks and then went down to 1 waking for a while.

Our baby slept through the night from the time she came home from the hospital. However our pediatrician told us that you shouldn't let babies under a month go that long without eating so he had us wake her up every 4 hours. Then once she reached a month old he told us to let her go. Now she wakes up once to eat but that is because she got used to us waking her up. Even tho she wakes up once our doctor still says it's sleeping through the night because a 6 hour or longer stretch is medically considered through the night. Her last feeding is at 6 pm. She goes to bed at 8pm then she sleeps for 6 hours the  wakes up to eat (so she went 8 hours without eating) then after eating goes right back to sleep for 4 more hours

My 7wk old sleeps in one 4-6hr stretch and then wakes up around 4am and in 2hr intervals until 10am then she only naps 45 min during the day. To me, 4 to 6 hrs is pretty good for this age and I wouldn't expect more for a while! On the bright side, shorter sleep intervals definitely prevents SIDS!
