Running and Weight lifting?
I'm 17 years old and have been running on the Long distance track team. I love running but the problem is I don't exactly love the results it gives my body. I have always been skinny and have been very insecure about it since middle school. Even though running long distance gives me a more lean look it's not going to stop me from running. The big problem is that my coach made a summer workout plan for me (which is A LOT of running miles) And he wants the Long distance track girls to join cross country to help us get better. I don't want to feel like a twig, I actually want to gain muscle. I did gain a couple of pounds and I did do A lot of butt workouts (which made my butt look perky and not so flat ) but starting track my butt did get smaller. (Luckily it's not flat yet! Just smaller)
What I'm asking for right now is some advice. Am I able to do the workout plan, cross country, AND lift weights? I know cardio is totally different but I want to know is it possible to gain muscle, get a bigger butt and thighs, AND run Long distance??? Please help me 🙁
