So, i have planned my own baby shower im 27 weeks along today, theres no dad in the picture. The last time i spoke to him about two months ago i told him i would love for him to attend my babyshower.... Now, im debating whether or not to text and let him know when its gonna be, because since the last time i seen him there hasnt been any contact from him :(

If he wants to be involved, he will be. You did your part to make him involved and there's really nothing else you can do. Focus on you and the baby and let him make his own decisions.

only do it if thats what you are comfortable with, dont do it because you feel guilty or have to, do it because thats what you feel is the right thing to do. but at the same time if he is refusong to contact you, he doesnt want to be there and asking him to come around and him only popping in every once in a blue moon will hurt you and the baby more

Personally I wouldn't want him at the shower if there hasn't been any contact before and won't be any after.

What I would do is attempt to talk to him about his plans to be involved in the child's life. If he has no desire or intention then I wouldn't invite him to the shower

Glad you sent the invite...even if he doesn't attend he may have family who may want to (my dad was crappy but my dads sisters and family always showered me with love and support).

If a man wants to be in your life he will do the work. Is he calling you? No. Is he texting you? No. Going to Dr appointments? No. Then there's your answer. Is he going to help support this child financially at least? I would hope to hell he has to.

You're still pregnant & guys don't see that as spending time with their child. They see it as spending time with you. Invite him. Let him decide if he'd like to be at a celebration for his child, & the birth. Being around when the baby is here is what's most important. :)
