Better alone or together?

If my boyfriend is being sketchy & doing things behind my back should i leave? Together we provide much more security & a better life for my daughter, who is going to be here any day. But i also dont want her growing up to think being treated like that is ok. What should i do?

A home full of mistrust is not one that will ever provide security for a child. They hear and understand more than you can imagine. Two happy homes are so much better than one unhappy one. And you deserve happiness, too. It's not just about the child. You deserve someone you can trust and who will respect you.

I agree that more information is needed however, if you're already thinking along these lines there must be something to it.

I wasn't happy with my ex. I tried, but ended up leaving when my daughter was 3 yo. She's happy and well adjusted at 12 now.

I married a fantastic man with 3 kids last year. He father just got married last month. She frequently tells me how different the two households are and the adult relationships in them. I'm so glad I can show her a happy respectful relationship and how a marriage should be. And she sees the contrast of how her father treats his new wife.

Depends what he is doing behind your back, but all honesty in a relationship there should be trust & commitment. If he is lying to you about stupid things then it's clear he doesn't respect you. Only you can decide what you want to do, but just remember being a single mother is not a bad thing it shows you have put yourself & your baby first. I hope everything works out for you x
