You should never ever get one unless YOU and only you want one. If you do it for someone else it could mess you up mentally very bad.

I had one scheduled because we are a single income family. Newly married. He has full custody of his 2 girls 8 & 10 and his severely autistic 16 yo son. My daughter is 12 and I have shared custody. We already have our 3 bedroom house filled to capacity. We don't have a car large enough for the family we have now. And we can't get one because of his ex. She won't make her car payments or pay her child support. The kids have some emotional damage from their mother being abusive and abandoning them.

So it just seemed like our hands were full already and the best thing for the family was to terminate this unplanned pregnancy. I didn't really want to, but I was convinced that it was what we needed to do. I had the support of my husband and MIL.

However, after a week, hubby could tell how it was tearing me apart. He said if I wasn't okay, then it wouldn't matter. So in the end, we are keeping our baby girl. Our daughters are all excited, Hubby is supportive and happy, and MIL says you can never have too many grandchildren. 😊

But to answer your question, yes, I would have gone through with it for my family. I honestly thought I was doing the best for the whole. I would do anything for them. I'm happy that I didn't have to though.

You would really regret that if it isn't your decision. Your family wouldn't be the ones having to suffer emotionally.

I wouldn't get an abortion to please anybody if that's not what I wanted to do. That's not a choice you should let anybody make for you or a choice you should make based off of what somebody else wants
