Does baby stop moving before labor?

Cara • Baby boy due May 30th, 2017!
People keep asking me if my baby is still moving to determine whether I'm going to go into labor soon or not. I think this is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I am due in 3 days and one of the first things that MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS ask me is if the baby is still moving, then they proceed to tell me that I need to call them immediately as this could mean the baby is in distress. They never told me its a sign of labor, they said it is a sign of danger and distress. I've pretty much answered my own question already, but I'm creating this poll to kind of prove something because it gets under my skin that people swear this is a sign of labor. So tell me: Does baby stop moving before labor?

No your baby will still move around. It might feel different like for me my son wasn't kicking as much but was rolling around because he had no more room to kick. He was kicking and rolling like crazy while I was in labor. My monitors were going off a lot because he would kick at them we didn't even realize it the one time and the nurse was wondering why my contractions where not being picked up.

Two days before she slowed down so much it scared me because she was always so active. It took so much effort for me to get her to move. I was almost called my dr because I was starting to panic but every time I'd pick up my phone to call she'd move. The day before I went into labor she was alittle more active but not nearly as much as what she usually was.

With my babies they all slowed down but didn't stop. The doc said the slow down was fine as long as baby didn't stop. And if I got worried to drink oj and lay on my left side.
