Birth story !
Since I'm cozy in my hospital room I thought I'd tell you all my story! First off, I'm 18 years old and this is my first baby ❤
So Thursday I didn't really do anything different then my regular cleaning, getting things ready, etc. I lost my mucus plug 2 days before(Tuesday) after sex. Thursday night I was having cramping and I didn't really think anything of it because I've been getting Braxton Hicks, so I went out to eat with some friends and I noticed the cramping getting stronger. We started timing it and they were 12 minutes apart, I called mother in law(boyfriend works nights) and she took me into the hospital about a half hour later. By the time we got here I was having the contractions about every 3 minutes (its 15 minutes to the hospital) they ended up breaking my water around 10pm and I was 2cm dilated and about 70%. I was moved to a room and told them I didn't want an iv or an epidural. That lasted for a few hours and I had to start an if because baby's heart rate was going down every time I would have a contraction. 10 hours later the doctor came in and told me I either have to get an epidural or be put to sleep if I had to have a c section. Baby was in alot of distress so I got the epidural, after the epidural I tried to sleep and that didn't happen and about 3 hours later the nurse came in to check me again and I was an 8-9 I kept calling them in because I was having so much pressure that I thought I was going to poop ! So at 12 I made them check me again, even though they assured me that nothing was changed, and sure enough I was a 10 and she was coming ! Everyone was frantic after that, calling the doctor(who was delivering another baby) and so he didn't get in for around 20 minutes. But when he did get there baby was in distress and we had to get her out then and there. 13 minutes later, my baby girl is here ❤ they said If I wouldn't have had her by 2 minutes later we would have gone in for an emergency C-Section ! I'm so in love with her and so is her daddy. Unfortunately she's in the NSC because of extremely low blood sugar(15) that we couldn't get stable so she's down stairs and I'm boarding in my room. She's holding stable right now and hopefully she'll be home by Tuesday ! ❤ everybody, meet Sophia Noelle
