Has any of you had to do a 24hs pee test?

I don't know the technical name lol but they told me I need to pee on a container for 24hs and then take it to the lab, they asked for this because I've been having some high blood pressure. Has any of you had to do this? Do you know what it is that they are searching for? I'm nervous! Thanks ^^

They do it to check for preeclampsia its important to check especially if you have high bp

I had to with baby #2 (I'm pregnant with baby #4). I had gestational diabetes and had to do all kinds of different testing and prenatal visit though

Yes I just did one well weeks ago. I had to do it because I had preeclampsia with my first baby. I hated doing it 😑

It's a 24 hour urine collection. You pee into a bowl that catches ALL your urine and save it in the jug keep the jug in the fridge and bring it back immediately after 24 hours. I had so much pee I couldn't make it to 24 hours I was shy by 3 cuz I filled my jug all the way... ☺️😂 It's testing for protein in your urine which would indicate pre-eclampsia. You can develop it at any time during pregnancy. It's your body saying I'm done I cannot handle supporting another human anymore get it out. It's no big deal I did it.

I'm currently in the hospital doing one. It's to test protein and creatine levels for preeclampsia

What Holly said, plus they check your urine for protein levels. If it's above a certain number, it's a sign of preeclampsia. I had to do this a week ago. It was annoying but necessary. I hope everything checks out for myself and you!!
