Fetal Hiccups

Danielle • Dated my husband since December 2006 and we were married May 2016. Baby boy Henry born June 2nd 2017 👶🏼💙
Does anybody else's baby get hiccups daily, sometimes multiple times? I am 37+2 weeks and my baby boy gets them at least once a day sometimes more than once. Ofcourse now I am all worried (shouldn't look online) about cord issues being associated with frequent hiccups. Has anyone else ever heard of this or personally experienced issues? Going to bring it up to my doctor on Wednesday when I see her.

Hiccups are good for the baby. It's a way of practice breathing

I'm 38 +5 and my baby girl gets them all the time. Made the mistake of looking on Google and freaked myself out 🙄🙄 so don't do it! Found out from my OB that is totally normal. Babies practice breathing so naturally they'd hiccup. Sometimes certain foods/drinks will make a baby hiccup so you can pay attention to that as well. Definitely not associated with baby not getting enough oxygen, so don't worry.

Haha this happened to me too, at almost the same time. I thought it was a pulse at first but then my husband could feel them and said he thought they were hiccups. Then it all made sense haha.
