My ex's mom an I talk on a pretty regular basis. Today she told me his sons mother cheated on him and he left her. We didn't part on bad terms but we haven't really spoken in the 2 years we've been broken up. We had a daughter together but I ended up having a miscarriage (today would have been her 2nd birthday). Then his mom mentioned they want to enroll his son, who's only 5 months older than our daughter would have been, in the daycare I work at and he'd actually be in my class and he knows this because he was there when me and his mom were talking about it. I have been wondering all day if I should shoot him a message and extend a hand in friendship since we'd be seeing each other almost every day?
