How did your SO react when finding out he wasn't going to get his boy?

My SO wants a Jr. in the worst way and I am so scared the babies a girl. For those who had to break the bad news to your husband that he wasn't going to get his boy, how did he react and did he get over it?? Did he become distant during the pregnancy?! Is he now less excited then he was before? Just tying to prepare myself. I for one, do not care what the gender is. As long as my babies healthy.

He was a bit disappointed but got over it eventually. Now she is 6 months old and he is wrapped around her finger

Oh he got his boy hes just upset that he isn't getting his JR. 🙄 I feel like I'm being forced to name him that so I'm choosing not to & instead I let him pick another name, he's still very much disappointed

My fiancé was disappointed for like a month. Now I'm 8 months pregnant and he has embraced it. He enjoyed decorated our nursery so much, we used glitter paint for her room and now he has declared himself the bedazzling king.

My boyfriend was certain this was a boy because his family hasn't had a girl in 9 years. I've had the hunch that this was a girl and I was RIGHT. At first (the day we found out and the day after) he was a little disappointed. Then out of the blue he just started talking about how he was going to have a daddy's little girl. Don't worry, your husband will love the baby either way.

We have a son and wanted another, when we found out our second was a girl he was disappointed at first but got over it. She is one tomorrow and she is a daddy's girl!!

My husband was convinced it was a boy! Wouldn't even entertain the fact that it could be a girl. We did genetic testing at 12 weeks, got the call 7 days later at work and it's a girl! I immediately called him and could hear the disappointment and shock in his voice. But in about 3 days he was over it and he is so thrilled now! He keeps saying she will be a better driver than any boy lol. He is a huge motorsports fan!

Mine wanted a little princess- but we are having a little boy! And now he's already talking about our second baby, which will now also be a boy 🤦🏻‍♀️ slow down. Haha I'm only 19 weeks
