I live in a pretty major Canadian City and public transportation is the answer for getting around for many people. Including parents with small children. Occasionally a conversation will spark on transport which i quit like but i was talking to my sister and she said she never likes to talk to people about her children unless they are visibley pregnant or have kids with them. I thought this was strange but I'm a very outgoing person and childless. So my question is would you talk to strangers about your kids (first name, how old they are etc)on public transport?
