So we all have heard of the shooting of Tamir Rice in Cleveland. If you haven't, he was 12 years old in a park shot by a cop for having a BB gun in his hands. The cop was not indicted and let go. He murdered a kid and was not charged with it. Well, now this came out...do you think they handled the case wrong and what relevance do you think think this has when the cop was let go after MURDERING A KID! Btw...I am so not pro cop...I'm in total shock that any cops are getting away with murdering unarmed black men/women/children!

I'm sorry it's not clear whether you're asking if he should've been fired or indicted so I don't know what to vote! He's a child murderer though so I hope he never gets a job again and suffers for the rest of his life. It is a horrible insult to Tamir's humanity if that murderer got fired for "breaking rules" and not "murdering a baby". ☹️💔

I'm not saying it's right, but Tamar Rice was reaching for a gun. It's very difficult to distinguish the difference between a BB gun and a real firearm when your life is on the line every day, you don't know the situation and the dispatcher said that Rice had been pointing it at people. Now given that he was 12 years old, I don't think he should have used lethal force. I don't think he should have had a BB gun in the park in the first place. This situation could have been avoided with some parental caution and police compassion. Punishment? Yes. Murderer? No. It's not against the rules to protect your own life; he could have made a different decisions but he had no way of knowing if a different decision could save his life. But if you don't follow the rules in the first place, yes, there should be repercussions. Termination of employment is appropriate. However, if the violation of standard protocol was a leading cause of lethal force used against Tamir Rice, he should face murder charges. The police force across the country are anxious every time they put on their uniform because of the anxiety of the public. This widespread anxiety will undoubtedly result in more of these incidents.  Don't do stupid stuff; you're risking your life and someone else's if you do. Cops don't want to kill anyone. Nobody wants to die.
