How do you guys feel about being engaged before you turn 18? To me it seems pointless and immature, since you aren't even old enough to get married without consent. Last year, my little cousin (only sixteen) got engaged because her boyfriend is in the army and wanted to have some sort of serious commitment before he left, and her mom was absolutely THRILLED about her daughter being engaged. I didn't think it was very common until earlier today, my best friend sent me a picture of a ring and she told me her boyfriend proposed. She's seventeen. What do you guys think? Would you ever get engaged before you turned 18?
