Unsolicited compliments from males

Just thought about this recently...especially in the professional/ corporate world I find it odd that every now and then that men make comments about my appearance (to my face) and I'm torn Bc on some level I know they are probably just being nice and don't intend to be creepy or infuriating but at the same time it still is lol! What I cannot figure out is of all my characteristics and qualities professionally that somehow still being attractive is most important/noticed by others 🤔
