EMPTY SAC??🙁🙁

Question

My doctor thinks I'm 9 weeks based on my last cycle but I'm very irregular and my guess is that I'm about 6 weeks. I had sonogram and she saw an empty sac and diagnosed as missed abortion and want to a D&C by next week but I refused. Am I wrong for being hopeful?

Absolutely not if you can have them book another ultrasound a week or 2 away and have your hcg levels tested every other day to see if they are increasing or decreasing

This happened to me 2 years ago. They called it a blighted ovum, I was devastated. I had an ultrasound at 10 weeks saw the baby in the sac and had another ultrasound at 3 months and they told me there was no baby just the sac. I refused to believe it and decided to go to the ER and they took another ultrasound which confirmed that I had no baby. I felt like I was going insane. A week later I had a D&C. I am currently pregnant and I'm fearful that this could happen again, since I haven't had an ultrasound yet. Anyways I think you should get a second ultrasound.
